Pastor Busch was born and raised in Rapid City, SD. He and his wife were married in 2016. He currently lives in Tinley Park with his wife, Lillian, son James, and daughter Theodora. In his spare time he enjoys reading, gardening, going on walks with his family, and finding the best places to eat in the South Suburbs.
Pastor Busch received a Master of Divinity (MDiv), a degree that provides broad, in-depth training for pastoral ministry. His studies included extensive work in the Old and New Testaments, the central teachings of the Christian faith, church history, and the skills needed for everyday ministry—such as preaching, teaching, counseling, evangelism, and leading worship. This education equips him to understand and apply the Bible faithfully, communicate the gospel clearly, and serve people with spiritual wisdom and practical pastoral care. Pastor Busch is committed to continuing education, both formal and informal. He has taken courses in church leadership and Old Testament Studies, regularly attends professional conferences, and is currently doing a personal in-depth study of the book of Matthew.
